For prospective banking partners

Connect everyday water services to a wider banking relationship.

Bring utility collections, equipment purchases and maintenance payments into one partnership conversation—with a clear merchant, payment reference and settlement responsibility for every stream.

A partnership proposal. Bank connections, commercial terms and live routing require separate agreement and testing.

Three connected opportunities

Support the purchase, the service and the ongoing water bill.

Water payments

Recurring bill payments and prepaid purchases, linked to the correct provider and customer account.

A proposed collection and settlement relationship with utilities, properties and their customers.

Commercial sales

Pump, meter, installation and software sales with an order, invoice and named merchant.

An opportunity to support merchant collections for equipment and deployment businesses.

Maintenance collections

Repair invoices and service-plan charges linked to the asset, work order and service business.

A proposed recurring service relationship alongside the original equipment sale.

Value for your institution

Start with a specific collection relationship.

Meet several merchant needs

Explore accounts and collection services for utilities, property operators, equipment sellers and service providers. Each merchant relationship remains subject to your institution’s review.

Discuss transparent transaction economics

Model successful transaction counts and gross value by stream. Compare a hypothetical fee scenario without treating customer principal as bank or WaterPesa revenue.

Design operations around evidence

Scope references, callback verification, payment matching and settlement reconciliation. Assign an owner when a payment, invoice or bank record does not agree.

A practical partnership journey

  1. 01 · Scope the relationshipChoose the bank’s proposed role and the transaction streams to explore.
  2. 02 · Build the commercial caseBring your own volumes and fee assumptions. Keep each merchant’s business distinct.
  3. 03 · Agree responsibilitiesReview onboarding, funds ownership, fees, support and settlement with named owners.
  4. 04 · Prove the integrationAgree a sandbox test pack, private merchant review and signed pilot acceptance before live routing.

Keep the money and the service states clear.

A confirmed payment, an allocated water bill, prepaid credit delivery and bank settlement are separate events. A maintenance payment is not a completed repair. An equipment purchase is not evidence that a pump or meter has been commissioned.

The partner brief is a planning document. It does not open a merchant account, approve a bank relationship, authorize fees, hold funds or activate payment routing.

Questions before you begin

Does WaterPesa already route transactions through my bank?

This page does not confirm a live bank integration or partnership. The bank, merchant accounts, technical connections and operating model need to be agreed and verified.

Are maintenance fees deducted from a water bill?

The planner treats water payments, commercial sales and maintenance collections as separate streams. No deduction or fee authorization is created. The merchant, payer, terms and disclosures must be agreed for each charge.

Can we discuss equipment financing?

You can raise financing as a separate commercial discussion. This planner does not assess eligibility, offer credit or calculate loan terms.

Where do we submit merchant documents?

Do not enter them in the public planner. Agree a private channel and the bank’s evidence requirements with the relevant teams first.
